What You Will Do

Responsible for assessing, analyzing, and monitoring administrative systems and procedures at the care center level. Makes recommendations for improved systems and procedures and increased efficiency of operations. Provides written reports of problem or deficiency identification and written plans of correction. Evaluates staffing and training requirements and provides support in meeting those needs.

  • Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of the organization's programs for the improvement of quality and service productivity.
  • Educates each care center's Business Office Manager and Business Office Specialists on the proper office operations process utilizing the Hospice Office Operations manual, Hospice Billing Compliance manual, etc.
  • Performs operational chart reviews during care center visits and works with care center team to develop site specific office operations paper process flow to address any identified needs.
  • Identifies teaching needs based on the operational reviews site survey.
  • Assists the Hospice Regional Director of Clinical Operations in conducting the operational in-services on the teaching needs that have been identified during the office operations process.
  • Provides operational support to the care centers in the evaluation of the regions' compliance to state and federal regulations. Assists the Regional Director of Hospice Clinical Operations in the regional preparation for certification and accreditation surveys, if need be.
  • Serves as a regional resource to all staff regarding operational processes and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinates any company resources that have been identified through site visits that may be needed in the specific care center.
  • Coordinates with the regions Business Office Manager and/or Business Office Specialist on new or revised regulations and updates that may affect the operational aspect of the care center operations.
  • Provides office operations education to all staff for new start-ups.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for office operations for acquisition sites.
  • Provides support and instruction to care center staff regarding the billing system, billing procedures, and compliance issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2+) years' experience in office operations.
  • Very strong IS experience and ability to adapt rapidly to different systems and software with proficiency.
  • Ability to promote understanding of complex systems/processes and effectively train others.
  • Ability to perform analysis and respond appropriately to findings and conclusions.

Preferred
  • Secondary education in IT, Business Administration or related field.
  • Three (3+) years' experience in office operations, preferably in home care, hospice care or medical billing environment.
