eDiscovery Manager

Cox Enterprises is hiring an eDiscovery Manager who will support the Cox Enterprises’ Litigation Center of Excellence in providing best-in-class in-house eDiscovery services and managing the legal workflows to support the discovery process for complex litigation, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory investigations, document requests, and other disputes.

Job Functions

  • Support eDiscovery Senior Manager in managing multiple eDiscovery and litigation matters.

  • Serve as liaison between Legal and IT team to manage the full end-to-end eDiscovery lifecycle processes, procedures, and policies.

  • Collaborate with internal and outside counsel, preferred providers, and case management personnel to identify and execute effective and efficient document preservation, collection, and review methods appropriate to each matter to manage document collections and reviews.

  • Direct responsibility for, and involvement in, the document production process including coordination of document review protocol, privilege logs, and electronic discovery logs with preferred vendors and outside counsel.

  • Manage data collection in connection with litigation, government, and regulatory investigations including Civil Investigative Demands.

  • Support and collaborate with Corporate Growth and Transactions Center of Excellence in mergers and acquisitions work including Harts-Scott Rodino filings and Second Requests.

  • Collaborate with outside counsel in the preparation of Electronic Stipulation Information pleadings, Protective Orders, and other pleadings related to the management of the eDiscovery process.

  • Assist in creating presentations on evolving eDiscovery landscape to key stakeholders.

  • Manage the issuance of legal holds, reminders, and conduct custodian interviews

  • Assist in International eDiscovery projects.

  • Track and measure the volume and costs associated with eDiscovery for yearly metrics.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of litigation and eDiscovery experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years of experience in litigation and eDiscovery experience in a law firm or in-house legal department; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience in litigation and eDiscovery in a law firm or in-house legal department experience; or 10 years of experience in litigation and eDiscovery experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

  • Requires strong knowledge of both litigation and eDiscovery

  • High level of proficiency with technology including Litigation Support Applications including Reveal, Relativity, or other hosting technologies, and Legal Hold applications.

  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).Extensive knowledge of litigation discovery across the EDRM model.

  • Knowledge of cross-border eDiscovery practices and procedures.

  • Prior knowledge and experience managing eDiscovery projects

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize assignments to meet required deadlines.

  • Must be proactive and a good planner who is very detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize.

  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment with a strong client service orientation and positive attitude.Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions.

  • Demonstrated a strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively.

  • Ability to work independently, taking the initiative to move projects to conclusion.

  • Demonstrated good judgment, integrity, and confidentiality of business client information and understanding of business values and ethics.
