Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in the Atlanta, GA office.

The Solution Architect - ServiceNow is responsible for designing complex ServiceNow solutions and components.
This position will be responsible for identifying and leading the implementation of best practices and architectural solutions for the ServiceNow platform. The resource is responsible for the quality of technical requirements delivered to the customers on the platform. The Solution Architect will define and presenting solutions to customers to gain their buy-in and lead the team towards a successful outcome. In this role, the Solution Architect is responsible for overall solution architecture design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance of ServiceNow based solutions from early phase proposals through, design, code, test and implementation.
  • Provide effective communication to project management, stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between architecture, business customers, solution development, project managers, and support teams.
  • Ability to speak the languages of both business and technology and quickly determine the right message to the right audience.
  • Lead technical discussions to determine new solutions and/or changes within current solution infrastructure.
  • Timely communication of concerns and issues that may affect any environment, project schedule and/or user acceptance of the developed solution to product manager and project manager.
  • Prepare and present reports regarding the operational state of the environment for managerial review.
  • Document solutions designs in technical architecture documents and solution architecture documents.
  • Understand business requirements and its business viabilities.
  • Determine gaps between business requirements and product functionalities and define workable solutions to bridge the gaps.
  • Design detailed solutions through partnering with project resources that may include solution development, process analysts, network engineering, server engineering and information security.
  • Establish and enforce systems design and architectural standards through communication, documentation, and design reviews.
  • Execute technical presentations to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
  • Evaluate ServiceNow products and solutions that might improve or enhance services provided.



  • 3+ years of proven experience in designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform (including custom applications)
  • Experience developing integration solutions with external applications
  • Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to ServiceNow integration solutions (SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST)
  • Proven track record of technical leadership in delivering complex implementations
  • Applications integration, workflow design, analytics
  • Overall, 5-8 years of IT experience with solid experience in building, deploying and supporting large scale application solutions
  • Minimum 3 years experience using Microsoft Visio to create technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of ITIL Processes Change, Release, Incident, Problem management
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal assistance, self-reliant.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines on a consistent basis with quality products
  • Ability to identify and understand issues and develop solutions.
  • Proven customer-facing consulting and presentation skills, especially around understanding customer needs, devising innovative solutions, and communicating solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience writing JavaScript - Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, etc
  • Experience implementing and configuring, Inbound Email processing, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
  • Experience with web-based development languages (JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, HTTP, XML)
  • Advanced ServiceNow Certifications (Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist - (ITSM/HR)
  • Experience implementing development work using Agile/Scrum and/or SDLC methodology
  • 5 years experience of working with and designing enterprise platforms with experience across design, installation, configuration, deployment troubleshooting, and support
  • 3 to 5 years of application implementation, support, development desired.
  • Experience in corporate back-off and shared services functions desired.
  • Experience in telecommunications and automotive industries desired.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to present to mid-level management and Steering Committee members.
  • Expert-level understanding of the Systems Implementation Life Cycle.
