Wells Fargo Equipment Finance (WFEF) is a leasing/finance company offering financing to businesses for their equipment acquisitions. WFEF offers leasing and financing directly to businesses for their equipment acquisitions and/or develops programs with manufacturers and distributors to facilitate their equipment sales.

We are looking for a senior territory manager to join the Wells Fargo Equipment Finance sales team! This is a great opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking to join a growing organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing new business and maintaining sources of business for lease and term financing in the GTA and the surrounding area marketplace by deepening our relationship with existing customers and creating new relationships with prospects; generating quality profitable business; improving conversion rates, increase and increasing the market coverage.
  • Understand Wells Fargo’s value proposition by industry vertical and customer profile. With that knowledge, work with Wells Fargo’s marketing team to build a targeted awareness campaign.
  • Manage the existing portfolio, ensuring customer service expectations are met and assisting the risk team with any distressed accounts.
  • Have the financial acumen to be able to read and analyze financial statements and structure a value added deal for the client within reasonable risk tolerances at an appropriate return.
  • Key metrics for success will be: coverage of customers, prospects conversion; new business volume, and profitability.
  • Ready to travel as role could involve 20% – 30% travel.

Market Skills and Certifications

Minimum qualifications:
  • 5+ years of related finance experience
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of asset lending and/or leasing in the Canadian market
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit issues including technical ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
  • Sales experience including ability to negotiate and influence
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications and utilize search tools to find information
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
Preferred skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or other business-related curriculum. Proven success in a sales role within another financial services company
