Our Capital Markets team manages the interest rate and operational risks associated with the origination, sale and servicing of mortgage loans, and provides liquidity for the mortgage assets originated by Wells Fargo.

Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.  Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Recommends and initiates systems testing. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

Business Architect Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of the Capital Markets roadmap strategy.  Link the project deliverables with the overall strategy and makes adjustments when appropriate.
  • Maintains Business Architecture models. Capabilities, application, and functional inventories.
  • Works with the technical leads to ensure alignment between the solution design and the business needs. As the solution design is being created, the Business Architect should be engaged and involved in the design sessions, issue resolution and tradeoff decisions.  The Business Architect provides a business lens that can be leveraged to resolve some design issues by modifying/refining a business process rather than spending excessive resources to solve the problem with a technical solution.  
  • Actively engages and leads issue resolution.  Expected to take a leadership position and partner with requirements leads, tech leads, and business sme’s/sponsors to identify issues, identify options, and make recommendations to resolve issues. Expected to bring an objective perspective that balances the business needs with technical perspectives. This responsibility spans the full project life cycle from requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Provides overall platform support activities, specifically production support and domain table management activities.
     


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
