Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.
The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The Compliance Analytic and Reporting Solutions (CARS) team is a part of Wells Fargo's Compliance Analytics group, and develops high-value analytics, models, and aggregate reporting, that is focused on the Compliance Aggregated Risk Assessment (CARA), the Compliance Risk Measurement Program, Compliance Executive & Issue Management Reporting, as well as other areas within Compliance Strategy & Operations and across the business-aligned compliance teams reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer.

The Analytic Consultant (AC) will be part of the Operations group which has two focus areas: Team Coordination and Change Management.

Team Coordination is responsible for: determining and creating team support documentation (e.g. new hire resources, deliverable templates), designing and implementing internal processes (request intake, project tracking, prioritization), implementing and testing our internal front line operational risk controls, communicating with internal and external partners, and other activities that will improve our team efficiency and effectiveness. Day to day tasks include and are not limited to: Identifying operational risk and determining controls to mitigate the risk, creating team processes, enhancing team documentation, running team meetings, reviewing policy updates for team impacts.

Change Management is responsible for: incorporating ongoing data source changes, new data sources, new analytics requests, and reporting enhancements. While the AC will work the Risk Programs Analytics and Sandbox Management teams within CARS to implement the functionality, the AC will need to synthesize the breadth of work across the CARS team, identify overlapping needs, project gaps, resource constraints, prioritization conflicts, etc to ensure CARS reporting is accurate and provides insight for our business partners. Day to day tasks will include, and are not limited to: managing request intake process, managing monthly refresh process, identifying impacts across CARS projects when a change is communicated.

In addition, the Operations group will ensure the team is (and continues to be) aligned with the Risk Management Framework, any Compliance policy changes, and our business partners' reporting and analytics needs.

While this AC role is aligned in the Change Management focus area, the AC will participate in projects across the Operations group, as well as, the CARS team.



Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • Certified SCRUM Master designation preferred but not required
