Brokerage Technology is looking for a Senior Technical Lead who will be responsible for all Project and Production Support related multiple Quality Advice & Research Applications. This role will be responsible for leading a geographically distributed application development team to accomplish the work as prioritized by their Technology Manager. Will be heavily engaged with agile and be expected to operate fluently within both agile and waterfall-based teams and processes.  Working closely with stakeholders, the candidate will be expected to analyze complex requirements; architect, design and develop technology solutions for the firm. Acts as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting; provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in the resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production application or system issues.  This individual must be able to handle multiple ongoing projects/tasks and possess a strong combination of analytical, assessment, organizational and execution skills.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • 10+ years of application or technical architecture design and planning experience on .NET/Java platforms.
  • 7+ years of development experience with OO technologies such as .NET or Java  
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication and relationship skills.  This includes experience presenting, collaborating and building trusted relationships with executive management, senior management and technical peers to influence direction.
  • Demonstrated practical application of a wide set of technical principles, practices, and procedures to design, build and implement complex application systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify key trends in the industry and with internal business processes
  • Knowledge and experience with Services Oriented Architecture design and with messaging and high availability technologies, e.g., MQ, JMS, FIX, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microservices, Dockers, Containers with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any other cloud platform.
  • Experience with third party and counter party integration, e.g., vendor platforms, market makers and exchanges
  • Understanding and experience with full software development life cycles (waterfall and Agile/SCRUM methodologies)
  • Understanding and experience with relational databases and other components for full solution development such as infrastructure and middleware components.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Visio and other system design and communications products
  • Demonstrated Analyst experience.  This includes the ability to gather and create both functional and technical requirements and build specifications and other documentation.
  • Knowledge of architecture standards and methodologies, such as: (Gartner, TOGAF, and/or Zachman)
  • University degree in computer science or related area of focus


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 7 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 7+ years of application development experience with ASP.NET(C#)
  • 7+ years of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience
  • 7+ years of SQL experience
  • 7+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 2+ years of Agile experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 4+ years of financial industry experience
  • Brokerage or wealth management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of application design and development in a client server architecture
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology architecture design concepts, strategies, and standards
  • Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings
  • Ability to present to multiple levels of management
  • Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environment, familiar with both Scrum and Kanban principles and practices
  • Technology 2+ year of experience with private cloud technologies
  • Technology 2+ years of experience developing web applications utilizing HTML 5
