Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking Technology, is seeking an experienced Product Manager with responsibilities for strategy, execution and production quality of a Wells Fargo Online application.  The selected candidate will play a critical role in defining, and enhancing the online banking applications utilized by end customers of the Commercial Lending businesses.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in application development and must be comfortable in communicating directly with business customers and other IT application leaders.  The resource will have responsibility for the enhancement and stability of the online portal including ensuring all deployments follow development standards, and meet business requirements.  In fulfilling these requirements, the individual should expect to work closely with the functional teams, development teams, and production support teams.

This role requires a proven technical skills set that has been demonstrated in the development of business critical java applications and their integration into enterprise systems. Must provide individual and project support for complex projects or applications, adhere to project timelines and technical deliverables within different client environments.

Other duties will include:

  • Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems.
  • Partner with business users to gather and validate requirements and develop detailed specifications and designs.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying and evaluating system impacts during conception and elaboration phases.
  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and, impact analysis for each project
  • Define detailed functional specifications required to satisfy business requirements for programs, projects, and releases
  • Participate in the entire SDLC and interface with product managers , architecture , development and QA teams
  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
  • 5+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • 2 + years of experience with Agile tools
  • 2+ years of SQL experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology deployment: J2EE applications in complex environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of J2EE
