This position will serve as an Application System Engineer 5 within the Collaboration Group, part of Enterprise Contact Center Technology and will work with vendors and line of business groups to implement chat/messaging solutions.

As an Apps System Engineer within this team the following job functions will be performed:
- Represent Collaboration Team in major project planning efforts to evaluate line of business current state and desired future capabilities, identify gaps or issues, recommend opportunity areas, determine potential timing and sequencing of improvement initiatives and support business case development to define the costs and benefits of proposed solutions
- Document end-to-end interaction flow analysis to ensure traceability of impacts to chat / messaging platform including synchronous / asynchronous chat, co-browse, video chat and other collaboration offerings
- Investigate products, implementation, network and infrastructure integration issues
- Responsible for HTML, Java Script, and XML programming
- Serve as a resource for agile projects
- Participate in production support and production issue escalation calls as needed
- Support team through On-Call Tier 3 support rotations



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 3+ years of chat/messaging communication experience
  • 1+ year of experience integrating mobile applications with web properties
  • 3+ years of experience working with HTML (HypeText Markup Language)
  • 3+ years of experience working with XML (Extensible Markup Language)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Java Script



Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of application production support experience
  • Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Agile experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with collaboration applications such as eGain, LivePerson, Salesforce.
  • Nuance Digital Engagement Platform experience.


Job Expectations

  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $108,400 Mid: $154,800
CA-San Leandro: Min: $108,400 Mid: $154,800
NC-Charlotte: Min: $90,300 Mid: $129,000
CO-Greenwood Village: Min: $90,300 Mid: $129,000
