IT for IT is the CIO organization providing technology strategy and solutions for the tools and data supporting IT Business Process Management and Enterprise Business Process Management functions.  IT for IT has the mandate to digitize and integrate the portfolio of tools and services supporting the management of IT and business processes, with a focus on team member experience, simplification, access to actionable data, and velocity.

This position will be part of the IT for IT Strategy and Portfolio Management team within the IT for IT organization. The team is responsible for overseeing the optimization of the application portfolio, managing the governance of incoming project and enhancement demand, managing communications and reporting, and supporting the development of business cases.  The team ensures alignment with EIT Strategic priorities by utilizing domestic and international teams that are integrated with our enterprise service providers. The team supports IT for IT management by using data analysis to support generation of actionable insights that guide decision-making and strategy development.

This position will be responsible for:

  1. Identifying, defining, documenting and implementing process improvements opportunities to enable transition to a service domain based approach for demand intake process
  2. Implementing and supporting an IT for IT enhancement work request rationalization and governance process; analyzing incoming demand to ensure alignment to strategic priorities
  3. The continued development of reporting and analytics around the IT for IT Book of Work, and development of consistent, insightful, and actionable metrics; and,
  4. Support for the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications plan for IT for IT, including the management of SharePoint sites, the creation of presentation materials for senior management, business partners, and IT delivery partner meetings, and the publication of regular communications within the IT for IT Team for transparency, quick escalation of risks, and the celebration of successes.

The candidate for this position is expected to -

  • Act as a liaison between business partners and technology delivery teams by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex, strategic, corporate-wide business problems to be solved with technology solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position Wells Fargo for the future.
  • Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
  • Participate in transforming strategic enterprise architecture and design principles into specific system requirements and specifications.
  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by re-engineering technical processes for greater efficiencies with significant impact to the business.
  • Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business systems analysis experience, design experience, or a combination of both
  • 7+ years of information technology experience
  • 5 + years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders
  • 3+ years of leadership experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 8+ years of process definition and documentation experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to develop reports and metrics
  • Ability to identify and present processes/operational enhancements
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of process flow or procedure writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3 + years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps
