Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The Consumer Credit Risk Management team is seeking a talented individual with strong writing, communication,  and critical thinking skills to join our team and facilitate policy development and maintenance, including periodic reviews and change management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage development and maintenance of consumer credit policy
  • Manage time sensitive, critical initiatives in an organized and independent manner
  • Partner with key stakeholders to build consensus and drive for timely completion of requirements
  • Oversee and ensure completion of periodic policy review and change management processes
  • Monitor and track activities with a strong attention to detail
  • Support other consumer credit projects/activities as needed
  • Manage development and maintenance of processes to support key enterprise policy requirements
  • Identify and resolve policy and process gaps by incorporating strategic thinking and creative problem solving
     


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of risk experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience drafting and maintaining policy documentation
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and thought leadership to manage initiatives and ensure timely completion of objectives
  • Experience providing “credible challenge” to business partners when necessary
  • Ability to lead through influence and effectively negotiate to drive consensus
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Strong business sense with knowledge of consumer credit products 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and detail-oriented
