Contractor - IAM Access Administrator

The Identity Access Management (IAM) Administrator is responsible for interfacing with the AutoNation Project Management, Engineering, Business Unit Representatives and Contract Staff to ensure users are provisioned and de-provisioned in accordance with AutoNation policies and procedures. This includes role and user account creation, migration and deletion, segregation of duties (SoD) analysis, elevated access analysis and critical access management. Analysis of workflows’, business process and troubleshooting access-related issues. The IAM Administrator will proactively update existing policies and procedures and implement. process improvements. Project work will include; analyzing AutoNation’s IAM capabilities and assist in leading stakeholders through the requirement, design, testing and training phases of the project deployment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
  • Perform AutoNation’s existing user provisioning and de-provisioning processes across all applications within the environment.
  • Work with client stakeholders to gather information needed for business application integration with AutoNation’s IAM solution.
  • Gather requirements and create system level requirements documents.
  • Work with business teams to create system test cases and perform system testing.
  • Create user acceptance test (UAT) scripts, set up UAT scenarios, and lead stakeholders through UAT.
  • Document user guides and functional training materials based on vendor documentation tailored to AutoNation’s specific requirements.
  • Build and maintain knowledgebase, process documentation and provide training for end user, business, and security coordinators on new or updated IAM tools and processes.
  • Deliver functional training in small group and "desk side" environments.
  • Work at various dealerships to support IAM activities as required.
  • Apply critical thinking and critical judgment on all core functional requirements.
  • Perform other job related functions as assigned.


  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintained an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience in process definition, workflow design and process mapping.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
