Warehouse Operations Coordinator

Position Description:

Supervises daily activities, performance management and development, and employee training in accordance with Human Resources policies, practices and procedures.

Directly contributes to the implementation of process improvements and special projects as assigned.

Acts as Subject Matter Expert for assigned projects, providing feedback on process flow and implementation assignments.

Supports Organizational Goals by assisting in the optimum utilization of resources.

Drives Engagement and culture with assigned teams.

Supervises and schedules all work activities related to receipt and shipping of materials

Conducts Safety Meetings to ensure that all plant employees comply with all job safe operating procedures including equipment maintenance. Ensures a clean and orderly work area is maintained at all times, proper chemical storage, proper labeling and handling techniques, and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Facilitates and or conducts compliance inspections in the plant, and implements corrective actions based on results of compliance inspections.

Acts as daily point of contact with customers and or outside entities.

May move trucks in the plant.

Provides production reports to management.

Coordinates incoming materials and outbound loads including paperwork.

Supervises the direct the shipping, receiving, packaging, and processing of materials in compliance with standard operational procedures and regulatory requirements.

Supervises segregation, transfer and compacting procedures according to company policies, job safe practices, and quality assurance guidelines. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Inspects work area for proper storage, labeling, leakage, and equipment or material deficiencies, and correct any deficiencies.

Reports and responds to plant emergencies as needed in accordance with the Contingency Plan.

Regular contact with other internal departments regarding questions/issues regarding activities and projects

Direct Reports: Up to 3 Production Coordinators, support staff and 40 Contract Resources

Ensuring a Safe and compliant workplace.
  • Weekly safety meetings.
  • Successfully passing all internal and external regulatory audits.
  • Meets or exceeds daily production deadlines in accordance with client SOW's and SLA's.

Position Requirements:

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business, engineering or science, or the equivalent in related work experience. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Two or more years of experience in a business or project management based role, demonstrating knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management timeline software programs as well as Microsoft Office products.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Be able to successfully supervise and motivate workers.

Familiar with DOT shipping, packaging, and labeling requirements for materials.

Good analytical and problem solving skills and communication skills

Ability to read and interpret signs, labels, waste documents, manifests, procedures, and regulations

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Plant environment: Indoor/Outdoor plant environment where there is exposure to dirt, dust, noise, odors, heat, rain, machinery and where there is a potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes.
