Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Systems Engineer, Journeyman to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Program Executive Officer (PEO-T) at Scott AFB, IL.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expertise and assist with technical assessments and FISMA policy compliance
    Support and plan Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) on a wide range of PEO-T engineering topics. Travel may be required
  • Support Program Engineering Milestone Reviews, e.g., System Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs) and Incident Report Working Groups.
  • Review contractor-produced deliverables, e.g., System Requirements Specification (SRRs), Functional Specification, Design Documents, Sustainment Plans, Deployment Plans, and Test Plans for technical sufficiency and provide comments to the Government within required timelines
  • Create, maintenance, and revise DODAF architecture artifacts in support of assigned PEO-T acquisition activities e.g., Operational Views (OVs), Systems Views (SVs), Service Views (ScVs), etc. from level 1 to level 6 in Government-approved format (this list is not all inclusive)
  • Review sustainment approaches and provide recommended improvements to system availability and user experience
  • Research and analyze of hardware and/or software (COTS/GOTS) available to meet system specifications
  • Conduct test on software upgrades
  • Evaluation and documentation of software/hardware acquisition solutions for conformity, fit, options, and purpose to the assigned program’s targeted architectural solution(s)
  • Review of system deployment/implementation approaches and recommend improvements.
  • Coordination with other government organizations/agencies to resolve and/or address a wide range of engineering issues.
  • Review of Engineering schedules and recommend improvements to improve delivery, and reduce programmatic risk.
  • Participation in PEO-T Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE) activities.
  • Interface with IT engineers to resolve program specific data quality issues.
  • Support, attend, and provide input at Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs)
  • Draft and provide the government an Interim Certificate to Operate (ICTO) quad chart (for Interoperability Steering Group (ISG)).
  • Draft and provide the government an Interoperability Certification Evaluation Plan (ICEP).
  • Draft and provide the government a final NR-Key Performance Parameter (KPP) Certification Memo and/or Report with test results to support interoperability assessment/certification.
  • Provide engineering support to the program’s Interface Control Working Group (ICWG)
  • Review installation, configuration, and Integration & Test components using Web interfaces
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into technical specs
  • Plan, analyze, and design information systems to assist in the mission needs and requirements
  • Perform lifecycle systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis Technical Requirements Gathering; Functional Requirements Development; Reverse Engineering.

Job Requirementstop

  • Secret security clearance.
  • Accredited B.S./B.A. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent (preferred) or Accredited B.S./B.A. (non-specified).
  • Three (3) years of system engineering experience, to include:
    • Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, System Design, Experience or knowledge working with a SCM (System Configuration Manager)
    • Requirement Analysis and/or Systems Administration
    • Demonstrated experience participating in incident, problem, and change control processes
    • Experience with DOD 5000.02 Acquisition Process
    • Experience with or knowledge of USTRANSCOM Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE)
  • One of the following DOD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications - IAM Level I:
    • CAP
    • GSLC
    • Security+
  • Ability to work individually, actively participate on integrated teams, or lead a task, project or team
  • Understanding of Cloud-based and Virtual environments. Should be knowledgeable with working within a VMware configuration setup
  • Foundational understanding of network security
  • Intermediate understanding of Linux
  • Intermediate understanding of SQL
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as Apache service, Tomcat webserver, ActiveMQ message broker, JavaScript and Scripting
  • Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX server setup, configuration and some administration tasks
  • Familiarity with formal PMI-based project methodologies like Agile or Waterfall
