Description:

Under general direction, this position provides reports and analysis designed to have a significant impact on South Region Supply Chain reporting and analysis. The purpose of this position is to partner with supply chain management to provide accurate financial analysis/reporting tools, so they can make effective operational management decisions that lead to lowest landed cost.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Partner with all levels of supply chain management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare operational financial reports, operational forecasts and similar financial ad hoc reports.
Provide ad hoc analysis to support supply chain decisions. Ensure all decisions consider the net impact of both manufacturing and distribution to achieve lowest landed cost and positively impact the local P&L.
Oversee Regional operational accounting and fixed asset transactions and proper inventory cut-off, so that operational expenditures are accurately recorded.
Create budgets and forecasts for upcoming period(s) and year(s).
Manage, direct and coordinate the monthly closing cycle i.e., updating files, numerous accruals and adjusting entries, in order to have a timely, accurate and complete representation of our financial results.
Manage and contribute to post closing operational analysis in order to identify and evaluate variances and providing narratives on those variances.
Manage and review all completed capital projects with the objective to determine of the planned goals were achieved, i.e., ROI, efficiency, personnel adjustments, spending reduction, etc.
Assist in the development and implementation of operational reporting tools in order to provide supply chain management timely and accurate data on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly operations.
Perform other duties as assigned/needed.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support Director of Supply Chain Finance with supervision of tasks performed by South Region Plant Finance Managers
Oversee and help Review the BUSS process at the bakery and distribution center levels
o Continue to reduce product accountability losses in plants, DC s and sales depots utilizing BUSS reporting
Develop consolidated and standard reporting to be used by South region operations finance team in help with completing:
o Monthly reporting decks
o Quarterly Reporting decks
o LE Forecasting
o Plan Forecasting
Liaison between departments:
o Census Administration Department (Cambridge)
o Tax Department (Property and Real & Personal Audits)
o Supply Chain Departments for all things coding
o Treasury Department for local miscellaneous income
o Procurement Department Claims to vendors, obsolescence
o Commercial Finance Ops results reporting, Costing for new products
Costing of new products that will be produced in South Region Bakeries
Bun Season expense review and analysis
Shipping and Receiving reporting for various analysis
Fixed Asset Analysis as needed

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, finance or related field.
  • 5 - 7+ years financial experience in a manufacturing / supply chain environment.
  • Travel up to 75%
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of operational financial planning & analysis.
  • Working knowledge of MFG ERP systems, standard costing and procurement.
  • Proficient with MS Office and Excel power user. Knowledge of Oracle financials and other business intelligence / reporting tools.
  • Strong analytic skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to plan & accomplish goals with limited supervision.
  • Good communication skills; work well in teams.
  • Ability to relocate will provide for career growth.
