Performance Health is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering team. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes, tooling, and/or equipment. Lead initiatives to identify and improve the quality, production efficiencies, and safety of manufacturing operations.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment and tooling performance, product quality, and safety
  • Design, procure, and implement fixtures and tooling as required
  • Perform CNC programming as required to support launch of new products, or optimize existing programs
  • Design and execute Engineering Studies and other protocols to optimize process parameters as required
  • Perform Design for Manufacture activities to optimize existing designs for ease of production, quality improvement, and/or cost reduction
  • Operate various pieces of manufacturing equipment in the development, pilot, and evaluation of new or existing manufacturing processes and/or finished goods
  • Provide technical support as needed to production. This could include providing this service on any of 3 shifts or on weekends
  • Participate on Continuous Improvement Team and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives in the areas that fall under the scope of responsibility for the Process Engineer
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines, quality and regulatory requirements, and production metrics are met
  • Interface with facility cost accountants to assist them in developing costing assumptions as it pertains to materials, machine run rates, and labor content
  • Interface with sales force and product managers to understand product requirements. Ensure that specifications and processes are in place to meet these requirements
  • Interface with purchasing to identify and evaluate new and replacement raw materials, components, and/or suppliers
  • Participate on the Validation Team and function as a key participant in process validation and process capability activities
  • Review manufacturing SOP's and other documentation prior to audits
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude
  • CNC Programming experience preferred
  • Previous fixture and tool design experience preferred
  • Experience with CNC Punch Presses and/or waterjet cutting is a plus
