Performance Health is seeking a Strategic Supplier Manager to join our team in Warrenville, IL. This position is responsible for managing our supplier base for distributed products within our broad clinical product line. This includes negotiating contract commercial terms, preparing and presenting business reviews, realizing and implementing cost savings opportunities, and working with the suppliers to solve cross-functional issues. The candidate should have a detailed understanding of customer requirements, with a focus on medical distribution business and supplier relationships. The candidate will have extensive strategic negotiation skills and ability to create cost savings opportunities. In addition, this person will be responsible for implementing a formal supplier evaluation and RFP process for major purchases. This is both a strategy and execution role that will require cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Define and lead the strategic supplier strategy for multiple product categories
Procurement:
- Identify sourcing needs and ideal suppliers for those needs
- Preparation and management of the Request for Proposal process (RFP)
- Develop and implement cost savings opportunities with current suppliers
- Preparation of purchasing contracts and supply agreements
- Establish savings objectives, track savings and other required metrics
Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Perform analysis of supplier spend data and metrics
- Strong negotiation skills
- Create and track vendor scorecards over time
- Arrange business reviews with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement
Projects/New Product Introductions:
- Lead/support efforts to enhance the value of Procurement to Performance Health
Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
Bachelor s degree
5+ years of negotiating experience
Demonstrated experience leading and/or supporting category planning and business analysis in a procurement context
Strong understanding of how to optimize costs with supplier and delivery risk through tough negotiation, good vendor selection, and appropriate contracts
Strong use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel
