Senior Software Engineer, DevSecOps Tools

Cox Communications is looking for an expert Identity and Access Management DevSecOps Engineer to develop identity tools. This person will be responsible for the design, development, testing, integration and support of infrastructure services that meet stated business requirements and adhere to coding best practices, architecture standards, and information security requirements.  Adheres to architectural design standards, risk management and security policies, data management policies, leads presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), mentoring less experienced team members, code reviews. Responsible for all elements of Software Development Lifecycle Develops integration elements, data models, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Responsibilities will also include identifying and implementing automation of build, test, and deploy activities. 

Candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in software development with a background having a strong focus on opensource applications as well as Python, PostgreSQL, PowerShell skills. Systems administration experience in Windows Server and Linux is desired.
 
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Develop and implement an SSL management platform based on Netflix Lemur
Work with stakeholders to develop business requirements into technical development activities
Integrate plugins and API’s into multiple system types
Configure PostgreSQL database
Install and configure Python
Install and configure web services
Import SSL certificates from multiple certificate authorities
Design and build web portals for use by end users for interacting with SSL certificate processes
Design and build lifecycle management process for SSL certificates
Perform QA and assist with UAT 
Perform deployments
Operationalize system for lower ties to manage infrastructure
Accountable for creating robust, technically detailed “MOP” (Method of Procedure) for service integration and implementation for lower tiers of support to utilize
Appropriately respond to incident escalations and ensure appropriate follow-up based on severity level
Prepare and present dashboards for tiered support organization including but not limited to, incident trending, standards compliance and governance. 
Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery. 
May be required to support lower tiers with rotating on-call duties

Qualifications:

Minimum:
3+ years of application development
Software Development – Python, REST API
RedHat Linux
PostgreSQL
Python
DevOps experience working with Automation Stacks – Git, Ansible, Jenkins, JIRA
Experience working with managers and customers/stakeholders and requirements gathering and converting them into solutions
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
Ability to collaborate in a DevOps environment to achieve common goals

Preferred:
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline (i.e. Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree).  
Deployment and configuration of Netflix Lemur
Amazon AWS including RDS, SES, TLS. 
Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages, PKI, SSL, scripting
Experience with PKI, SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management processes 
Experience building automation tools using various platform APIs 
Experience with deploying solutions within a virtualized environment – ESX, AWS, Docker
Experience with virtual infrastructures
Experience with Agile
Experience with password management frameworks
