Responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and is aware of the development practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solution and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria. Executes automated test suites (integration, regression, performance); collects results and flags issues. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release. Individual contributor.

Job Description:

The Client Data and Sales Technology team within the Wholesale Credit and Banking Technology group is looking for a talented and highly motivated software engineer to help further develop on several core and target Client and Sales platforms based on Java, Angular, Scala, RDF graph, RDF modeling, Python and Apache Spark platform. This a software engineering role for someone with hands on experience in RDF data modeling, data analysis using SPARQL, and data feeds using Python. The successful candidate will possess experience in large scale application development and in a highly complex environment. The role demands being able to deal with multiple projects across the domain in parallel. Our engineers take pride in their craft and delivery expertly engineered code. The team consists of extremely talented engineers, who developed industry leading Client and Sales platforms using well-known open source projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement RDF model changes within the major platform that the team is developing
  • Write reusable and extendable code and become a strong contributor of the core platform
  • Partner with other departments to design and deploy critical systems on our infrastructure
  • Consistently work to make our software simpler
  • Challenge yourself and your peers to always improve and experiment with open source libraries

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in RDF data modeling and graph data management concepts
  • Expertise in SPARQL query language
  • 3 years of expertise in Python or Scala or Java
  • Expertise with full stack Java development
  • Expertise dealing with large data sets and effectively implement best data engineering practices
  • Familiar with Agile development practices and routines
  • Back end server side development experience
  • Strong in Computer Science and/or Math
  • Familiarity in Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as robust micro services.
  • Experience with web services development and REST interfaces

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with building AI based solutions to drive out automation technologies is a plus.
