Job Description:

CREB Portfolio Management Officer (PMO) is responsible for all post close credit approval activity including extensions, (with advisement from the Credit Officer and/or Underwriter).  In addition, the PMO is responsible for all monitoring and maintenance activities on an assigned commercial real estate portfolio including Risk Rating Scorecards, Annual Reviews, Individual Loan Reports (ILRs), Covenant Compliance, and data input and management.   A key job function is the monitoring of commercial real estate clients operating performance and financial condition to proactively identify issues and opportunities. A PMO also delivers financial, industry, economic, sponsor/guarantor and other analysis to facilitate decision making for the client coverage team, while also ensuring adherence to credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. The PMO is an individual contributor who reports to the CREB Credit Regional Portfolio Manager and partners closely with the Regional Team Leader, Credit Officers and Underwriters.  The  PMO is responsible to drive process simplification and improvement under the direction of the Regional PM Manager.

Functional Role Description:

  • Activities associated with the minor modification of existing credits (EMAF-based actions and Minor Modifications, as defined in the Approval Grid) and the extension of facilities which have qualified for defined extension options
  • Collateral analysis, and sponsor / guarantor analysis and review of related legal documents
  • Data entry, reporting and maintenance on the existing loan portfolios (Regulatory Toolkit, CreditCenter, CREEAS, CRELL, etc.)
  • Support client coverage team with financial, industry, or market analysis to facilitate decision making on select credits

Role Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience within financial institution and commercial real estate industry
  • Experience in financial analysis, structuring, commercial real estate underwriting and portfolio management
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical/technical skills including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring
  • BS/BA Degree required
