Job Description:

The Metrics Operations Specialist supports the activities related to operation of the Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR) Metrics program. The program was recently integrated to cover both compliance and operational risk types and this role will be a subject matter expert supporting the continued implementation of our new Policy and Standard Operating Procedure and evolution of our program. Since GCOR metrics cover each business and control function within the Bank, this role provides the opportunity to build knowledge across a diverse set of business processes including their related impacts on our risk environment. Regular and frequent interaction with stakeholders a various levels of business and risk teams are required, which supports continued professional growth and exposure.


The Metric Operations Specialist works with their teammates to support consistent quality of activities, process and outputs. Some examples of the activities performed include - but are not limited to -development and monitoring of the health of the program, coordination of data quality attestations, execution of metric breach notifications, go-to-green plan monitoring and reporting, quality assurance, subsidiary governance reporting, facilitation of stakeholder forums and training, and execution of the annual metric inventory review and calibration process.


The Metric Operations Specialist is also expected to:

1) demonstrate and apply subject matter expertise to promote a culture of compliance and the identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks and

2) contribute to the consistent implementation of the requirements in the Global Compliance & Operational Risk Enterprise Policies.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience within a financial institution in a financial reporting or risk management function
  • Proficient working with technology platforms including participation in requirements collection, testing, and validation
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong proven communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience

Desired Skills:

  • ORCIT experience
  • Risk Management experience
