Job Description:

The GCB Quality Assurance specialist will support the Know your Customer Process and mitigate risk across Global Commercial Banking Line of Business.

Provides support for monthly control execution within the LOB and directly supports execution and management of the QA Program through various initiatives to drive process improvements and control performance sustainability. This role requires a strong operational risk and compliance background, Risk Framework (QA Standard) knowledge, and understanding of AML requirements. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture.

Key Elements:

  • Conduct or coordinate quality reviews to ensure associate performance and control effectiveness.
  • Capture data and information relevant to inspection metrics to support governance activities for dashboard reporting.
  • Execute Monitoring and Inspection activities including control execution, case assignment, and results reporting in a timely manner.
  • Engage and coordinate reviews with LOB process owners, subject matter experts, and Compliance partners to analyze deficiencies for root cause, which may require remediation and performance coaching,.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years in quality assurance, KYC/AML process and/or relevant banking experience
  • Working knowledge of Global Commercial Banking 
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve when roadblocks arise
  • Strong communication abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize data for executive level reporting
  • Proficient computer/software skills - Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of Risk Framework
  • Previous work experience in one or more of the following areas: risk, compliance, audit and/or sales
  • Foundational knowledge of general bank policies, specific to data and privacy
