Line of Business Role Description

This role is a key member of a team responsible for evaluating and overseeing Financial Crimes related processes and control performance across the enterprise.   This role works closely with GFCC, Front Line Units and Control Functions to determine if they are meeting the AML Customer Due Diligence and Financial Crimes Compliance standard requirements by evaluating the comprehensiveness of controls (through quality monitoring routines such as monthly reviews, assessments, oversight of remediation activity and appropriate escalations). This role requires a strong operational risk and compliance background, risk framework (QA Standard) knowledge and understanding of AML requirement.

Required Skills

5 - 8 years’ experience in risk/compliance or similar control function role
Experience with Financial Crimes requirements and in oversight function
Understanding of key risk and control requirements as they pertain to the Enterprise QA Standards
Knowledgeable with AML related processes performed by both FLUs and Operations
Experience conducting risk assessments, developing tests, and/or conducting audits to evaluate processes and controls to ensure sustained performance
Highly skilled in process design, improvement and evaluating effectiveness
Detail-oriented to ensure quality and accurate work product with keen ability to roll up for executive messaging
Ability to facilitate meetings with key business partners and team and drive execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write for and present to executives
Ability to analyze complex data, develop and present executive level reporting
Ability to navigate in highly complex and matrixed environment
Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence with partners and FLUs
Strong analytic, logical reasoning, and problem solving (risk vs. reward analysis)
Must be able to facilitate meetings with senior leadership, strong presentation skills and executive communication
Ability to identify areas for improvement, challenge, recommend and drive action
Possesses strong organizational skills

Knowledge of Bank of America's channels, programs, policies, standards, products, procedures and systems and independently evaluating
Strong time management skills and adaptability to address shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
Experience working in high visibility, high pressure environments
Strong proficiency with MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
