Job Description:

Responsible for programs/projects specific to corporate change initiatives that have significant impact on how the company does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Project responsibility requires responsibility for staff and budget. Serves as primary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives. Communicates, influences and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Creates a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control. Ensures clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key program/project roles. Integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decisioning processes. Develop, maintain, and report on an overall integrated delivery plan. Management experience with small to mid-size teams. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes. Typically 5+ plus years of program management experience.

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • 8+ years’ experience leading cross-functional, geographically distributed teams, supporting Java application development, issue and problem management, environment triage, and Release Management for applications within the Global Banking and Markets Digital Channels portfolio
  • Domain knowledge and expertise of GBAM Digital Channels-specific Horizon and legacy software delivery methodologies and best practices (Ansible Tower, Jenkins Pipelines, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, GIT, Perforce, Subversion, IBM ClearQuest, Interwoven, Open Deploy, Weblogic, Websphere, JBOSS, Oracle 10g+, AppHost, Solaris, AIX, RHEL)
  • In depth understanding of, and proven ability to navigate, operating models across supporting Bank of America CTO organizations, specifically those supporting the GBAM Digital Channels organization
  • Well-versed in CashPro Online and CashPro federated application design, features, and functions, including architecture fundamentals such as application specific data center strategy, data replication, load balancing, messaging, certificates and encryption strategies, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage complex issues through development of tactical and strategic solutions, within the context of GBAM Digital Channels and supporting CTO organizations, in order to meet aggressive time constraints, mitigate blocking issues, and drive delivery
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships in high pressure client-driven environments
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate, influence, drive impact on key initiatives in order to consistently achieve delivery
  • Proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations
  • Ability to leverage technical, enterprise, and business knowledge to work across structures to meet organizational needs
  • The strongest candidates will have a love for problem solving, great partnership and communication skills, deep operational subject matter expertise, and the ability to envision, communicate and execute strategic planning and remediation of issues impacting the Global Banking and Markets Digital Channels portfolio
