Line of Business Role Description

  • The Change Program Manager is responsible for leading the AMRS Operations Regulatory change initiative portfolio in Global Banking and Markets (GBAM) Operations
  • Partnering with the GBAM Technology and Operations and other key stakeholders on managing the impact of the Regulatory changes to our internal systems and processes while diving to strategic solutions.
  • Accountable for the execution of medium to large-scale operational changes and technology deployments utilizing Enterprise change standards.
  • Partnering with technology service providers for a cohesive GBAM technology strategy across cash security products for regulatory reporting.
  • Liaise with Line of Business, Technology and support partners to ensure management of critical risks and issues including risk mitigation planning, risk analysis and issue resolution.
  • Program/project budget and forecast management inclusive of resource planning, allocation and maintenance of adequate staffing levels.
  • Developing program implementation plans with sponsors & support partners.
  • Working with Compliance to drive out the regulations that have to be actioned.
  • Managing program implementation and reporting on progress against plan and budget utilization.
  • Coordinating GBAM AMRS Ops Reg Steering Council, represent GBAM Operations Change in Consolidated Audit Trail status meetings and other related Program governance routines.

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and sustain change. 10-15 years of program management experience including large scale technological implementations.
  • Ability to bring multiple stakeholders together, cut to the heart of issues to reach consensus & decisions, demonstrate personal courage.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, create followership.
  • Demonstrates effective partnership with all control functions to identify, escalate, debate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong understand of business flow front to back.
  • Ability to lead across diverse technology, operations and line of business stakeholders to execute effectively.
  • Experience managing technology or operations initiatives.
  • Experience running senior governance meetings & delivering presentations/ updates to senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of Global Banking or Global Markets.
  • Knowledge of structured project management methods preferably the Enterprise Change Standards.
  • Previous experience of regulatory projects (desired).
  • Ability to navigate and execute with Front Office and Back Office partners.
  • Strong relationship management skills and capability to have considerable influence over decisions made by senior leaders on strategic direction.
  • Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes, that impact revenue, investment, profitability or expense management across multiple business groups.
  • High-risk or regulatory compliance understanding, and the ability to understand how to implement preventative and detective controls.
  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently.
  • Stays current on industry leaders, strategic transactions, and external shifts in the market.
