Job Description:

This position is a Quantitative Analyst role on the Small Business Sales Analytics Team within the Analytics & Information organization. The Small Business Sales Analytics Team provides analytical insights needed to optimize sales performance across the firm’s Small Business sales specialists, including Small Business Bankers, Small Business Consultants and Relationship Managers. This includes:

• Managing the client assignment process for Small Business Sales Associates and evaluation of enhancements to the process due to changes in performance or business strategy.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of sales associates and creating insight into factors that improve performance and optimize placement of the associates
• Creating innovative information processes that make analysis more efficient and facilitate deeper insights
• Designing and measuring tests for different strategies within the sales organization to inform leaders on success or ways to improve performance
• Presenting conclusions, implications and actionable recommendations to stakeholders
• Identifying innovative uses of customer data to target high-value business opportunities and drive improved performance

As a Quantitative Analyst I, you will leverage multiple databases to obtain customer and performance data necessary to deliver analytical insights around Small Business and Likely Business Owner customers in response to operational and performance-related requests from our LOB partners. These work efforts include projects that range from identifying top-down views of attainable opportunity for acquisition and deepening, measuring test and pilot performance of various sales strategies, and profiling key customer segments and patterns of behavior.

Required Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years hands-on analytics experience with ability to use SAS, SQL, R and/or PYTHON to find and deliver data from various relational databases and platforms
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to summarize and interpret large amounts of data and translate into meaningful insight
• Experience developing and facilitating presentations utilizing tools such as PowerPoint and Tableau
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred with background or equivalent experience in Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics or Computer Science

Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience in financial services with emphasis on business insights and data/financial analysis; specific experience with investments or client managed business a plus
• Subject matter knowledge of Financial Services Sales environments
• General knowledge of statistics and advanced analytic techniques including textual analytics, propensity models, segmentation, and decision trees
