Line of Business Position Description and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and execution of processes related to recovery strategies
• Partners with our analytics partners to develop plan to implement new and enhance existing strategies
• Utilizes SAS and SQL to automate processes
• Executes daily processes to ensure all non-collectable inventory is excluded from collections
• Manages the placement of all recovery inventory to our internal and third party collectors
• Supports achievement of business goals by gathering, extracting, validating, and provide complex analysis to support implementation of strategic plans, system enhancements, and control related items all recovery products
• This position requires being the subject matter expert on multiple data points across multiple products. A sound understanding of Collections and Recovery operations and technology processes providing the data
• The position requires interaction with all areas of Collections and all levels of management to support the development, socialization, and process design for various initiatives

*This role can be filled as a Consumer Product Strategic Analyst II or III

Required Skills and Experience:

- Advance 2+ years programming and analytics experience with SAS/SQL
- Previous Collections experience
- Knowledge of data sources, repository structures, query/evaluation tools
- Possesses a fundamental degree of knowledge of data sources, business products, operational processes, and fully understands how data is utilized for evaluation
- Ability to work with all levels of management across numerous lines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities at one time
- Proficient with MS Office (EXCEL, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience working within the Bank of America data infrastructure (BACARDI, The W, SQL Server, etc.)
- Previous experience with DB2, Teradata platforms, and Hadoop
- Project Management Experience

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level. Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports and updates for senior management. May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. 2-5 years experience preferred.
