The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), U. Learn valuable tips to create or improve a LinkedIn profile and stand-out in the digital crowd. 

? 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Elevator Pitch Workshop  

Small break-out groups where spouses will learn to craft a personalized elevator pitch.

? 10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Break

? 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Personal Branding Workshop

Spouses will learn how to brand themselves using HOH tools and tips from hiring experts.

? 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch provided; Free LinkedIn Headshots   

? 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Resume Lab Pt. 1   

Training and Q&A will be provided for spouses with follow-up questions on a two-day workshop in January 2019 on one’s resume.

? 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Salary Negotiations  

What Am I Worth? Calculating and negotiating salary and benefits when starting out or starting over.
